In an industry that didn’t exist 15 years ago, the rate of change is monumental, yet we’re seeing an enormous amount of convergence online that didn’t exist during the middle of this decade. When I speak with marketing managers, IT managers and business owners, I notice that the rate of change on the web can create confusion about the smart way to go about doing business online. What is the best way?
So, here’s my contribution to pursuing the online conversation about better, smarter ways of doing things on the web. It’s about removing the hype that so often surrounds discussion about online technologies and methods (SEO, CMS, XHTML, etc…) and focusing on the important stuff & particularly that which is measurable.
The question I hope that this blog will help you answer is “How will I get return on investment?”. Only when you can answer that question should you be confident of spending money online.
